Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable
1.070,00 €
The Black power cable is something of a star performer across all hifi equipment. Being the big brother of the Blue power cable, which was HiFi World power cable of the Year 2012, you can imagine that it does everything that the Blue does but just that bit better. Again, like all our cables it improves with burn in – sometimes as a step change in performance in the case of the Black power cable.
The length of the cable is 1.5 meters.

Description
Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable
The Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable is a high-performance mains cable developed from the ground up specifically for high-fidelity audio systems.
Part of Tellurium Q’s Black Family, the Black II Power Cable is designed to combine refinement, clarity, stronger bass definition and a more coherent musical presentation without introducing an artificially bright or aggressive tonal balance.
The current Black II generation represents a substantial refinement over the original Black power cable, with improvements in transient speed, soundstage definition, low-frequency control and overall musical precision.

Designed Specifically for Hi-Fi Power Delivery
The Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable is not an adapted OEM mains lead.
Tellurium Q designed the cable specifically around the requirements of audio equipment, treating the complete power connection as part of the system rather than simply as a generic electrical accessory.
Its purpose is to allow connected equipment to perform with greater clarity, control and musical coherence.
From Black to Black II
The original Black power cable already received strong international recognition, but Tellurium Q continued to develop the design.
The company describes the earlier Black as comparatively less refined when heard directly against the current Black II.
Although the two generations look visually similar, Tellurium Q states that the Black II is significantly more precise, musically focused and consistent with the company’s more recent research.
The improvement becomes particularly obvious in high-resolution systems where small changes in power delivery, timing and noise behaviour can become easier to perceive.
Speed, Transients and Greater Control
One of the improvements most frequently mentioned in reviews of the Black II is faster transient behaviour.
Percussion, piano and other rapidly changing musical signals can gain greater immediacy and definition without sounding unnaturally sharp.
The effect is not simply more apparent detail, but a cleaner relationship between individual musical events.

Soundstage and Image Definition
The Black II Power Cable has also been praised for improving soundstage organisation.
In a resolving system, instruments can become easier to place within the recording while the space between performers becomes more clearly defined.
Rather than exaggerating width or depth, the Black II aims to improve the stability and coherence of the existing spatial information.
Low-Frequency Weight and Definition
Bass reproduction is another area where the Black II has received considerable praise.
Greater low-frequency weight is most useful when it is accompanied by improved definition and timing.
The Black II is designed to deliver stronger bass impact while maintaining the texture and articulation of individual notes.
This can be particularly beneficial with power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers and other components with substantial current demands.

Schuko, UK and US Options
The Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable is available in several mains plug configurations according to market and system requirements.
- Schuko: European systems
- UK: British mains sockets
- US: North American mains sockets
For European customers, the Schuko version is the standard choice.
1.5 Metre Standard Length
The standard Black II Power Cable length is 1.5 metres.
This length provides practical flexibility for connecting source components, DACs, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers without excessive cable routing.
Burn-In and Settling
Tellurium Q states that its cables can improve as they settle into a system, and the Black power cable has historically been one of the models where the company has noted a particularly noticeable change.
For this reason, a newly installed Black II may continue to change slightly during the first period of use.
Evaluation is therefore best made after the cable has been used normally for a reasonable period rather than immediately after installation.
Suitable across the Audio System
The Black II Power Cable can be used with a wide range of hi-fi components.
- Integrated amplifiers
- Power amplifiers
- Preamplifiers
- DACs
- CD players and transports
- Music servers and streamers
- Phono stages
- Power supplies and selected conditioners
System matching remains important, particularly when deciding where a premium power cable will produce the most worthwhile improvement.

Black II Power Cable vs Blue Power Cable
The Black II sits above Tellurium Q’s Blue power cable in the performance hierarchy.
The Blue Family offers a warmer and more forgiving presentation, while Black II provides greater resolution, stronger bass definition, improved timing and a more refined overall balance.
Black II is therefore the more suitable choice for resolving systems where additional clarity is desirable without sacrificing smoothness.
Black II Power Cable vs Ultra Black II Power Cable
For systems capable of exploiting an even higher performance level, the
Tellurium Q Ultra Black II Power Cable
sits above Black II.
Ultra Black II moves further in low-level information, dynamic scale, spatial precision and overall refinement while retaining the natural Black Family character.
Black II remains a particularly strong performance-to-price point for many high-end systems.
Who Is the Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable For?
The Tellurium Q Black II Power Cable is ideal for listeners who want to improve refinement, bass control, transient definition and spatial clarity without making their system brighter or more analytical.
It is particularly suitable for high-quality amplifiers, DACs, digital sources and preamplifiers where the rest of the system is capable of revealing improvements in power delivery and noise behaviour.
