The Concept

Looking back on more than 20 years of Phasemation’s history, it is no exaggeration to say that we are an audio brand specializing in transformer technology. Over the years, we have introduced numerous transformer-based products for audiophiles. While our goal has always been the pure reproduction of music, we also recognize the importance of user-friendly operation. For instance, we have often received feedback regarding the following challenges.

Generally, a preamplifier performs best when its volume level is set closer to maximum. However, in a home environment, the volume often has to remain near the lowest setting, as even a slight increase can result in excessively high sound levels.

When a user wishes to connect a source device to an amplifier, it is often not possible to link a device equipped only with XLR terminals to one equipped only with RCA pin terminals.

While satisfied with the wide frequency range, users have expressed concern about noise at the lowest and highest frequency.

The LT-1000 is Phasemation’s new line transformer, created to address the needs of today’s customer environments. It not only enhances usability but also applies Phasemation’s transformer expertise to further elevate sound quality.

Main Features

• Balanced and unbalanced input/output supported: Each input and output features both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA pin) terminals. The gold-plated RCA terminals and Neutrik XLR connectors ensure superior sound quality.
• Highly visible gain selector switch: A gain switch with five precise settings (+6, 0, -6, -12 dB, ∞) allows for comfortable listening levels. A mute mode is included, and the knob’s design offers effortless operation and clear visual confirmation.
• Transformer engineered for superior sound quality: The custom-made 0.1 mm Super Malloy core and PC-TripleC wiring are at the heart of the transformer, using one of the finest conductor materials available.
• Housing structure that suppresses flux leakage and vibration: A compact chassis with a shield cover prevents magnetic flux leakage, while a floating structure with damping rubber minimizes unwanted vibrations for pure music signals.
• Circuit layout designed for high channel separation: The transformers are arranged in a near-mono configuration, achieving a high separation of 100 dB for clear and precise soundstage reproduction.
• Gold-plated connectors and contact switches for crisp reproduction: The circuit length is kept as short as possible, and gold-plated components are used in the gain selector’s rotary switch and connectors to deliver a fresh and vibrant sound.

1. Enables optimal volume adjustment between the preamplifier and power amplifier.
2. The “Easy listening“ by LT-1000 is achieved by eliminating unnecessary high- and low-frequency noise between the lines.
3. This allows connection between devices equipped only with XLR jacks and those with only RCA pin jacks, and vice versa.
4. Simultaneous output to two power amplifiers is supported, with one balanced and one unbalanced system.
