A Different Approach to Phono Amplification
Very few manufacturers undertake the more demanding task of designing
a phono stage without operational amplifiers and without global feedback.
Phasemation is one of them.
This philosophy, established with the acclaimed EA-200 and continued
in the EA-220, places fully discrete,
non-feedback circuitry at the heart of the design.
The goal is not simply impressive specifications, but the preservation
of dynamics, subtle musical nuances and the sense of immediacy contained
within the original record.

The left and right channels are arranged in a dual-monaural layout, reducing electrical interaction
between channels and improving stereo separation.

More Than Five Decades of Engineering Experience
Phasemation’s roots reach back to the 1970s, when the company began
as Kyodo Denshi System, developing precision measuring
instruments for electronic circuits as well as advanced electronic
systems for the automotive industry.
Over the following three decades, these fields of engineering
developed in parallel. During this period, the company also accumulated
extensive experience in specialist audio engineering, manufacturing
products and technologies for other audio companies ranging from step-up transformers to digital-to-analog converters.
This combination of precision measurement, electronics development
and specialist audio engineering formed the technical foundation
that ultimately evolved into today’s Phasemation.
