LAiV Harmony LExt Input Extension Module

The Harmony LExt is a purpose-built analogue input expansion module designed exclusively for the LAiV Harmony HP2A. Connected through LAiV’s proprietary LE-LINK interface, it extends the HP2A without adding unnecessary signal-path complexity.

Harmony LExt is available in two versions: LExt PHONO, for direct turntable connection, and LExt IN2, which adds additional balanced and single-ended line-level inputs.

Expandable Input Interface for Harmony HP2A

The Harmony LExt connects directly to the Harmony HP2A through the proprietary LE-LINK interface. This keeps the connection between the two components simple, compact and electrically integrated.

Rather than turning the HP2A into an oversized multi-input component, LAiV uses a modular approach that allows the owner to add only the connectivity actually required by the system.

LExt PHONO – Dedicated Phono Input Module

The LExt PHONO is a self-contained phono-stage extension designed to integrate vinyl playback directly into the Harmony HP2A system.

RIAA equalisation and gain are handled inside the module, so no additional external phono preamplifier is required.

Selectable input impedance settings of 22Ω, 47Ω, 100Ω, 470Ω, 1kΩ and 47kΩ provide flexibility for a wide range of compatible phono cartridges.

LExt IN2 – Expanded Line-Level Connectivity

The LExt IN2 adds two additional analogue inputs to the Harmony HP2A: one balanced XLR input and one single-ended RCA input.

This allows additional sources such as DACs, network streamers and CD players to be integrated into the HP2A system while maintaining the same overall system architecture.

Flexible Analogue Expansion for the Harmony System

The modular concept behind LExt allows the owner to configure the HP2A according to the sources actually used in the system. Instead of adding unnecessary inputs and circuitry inside the main component, LAiV keeps additional analogue functionality in a separate compact chassis.

This approach is particularly useful in systems that evolve over time. A listener focused on digital playback can choose the IN2 version and gain additional balanced and single-ended connections, while a vinyl-based system can use the PHONO version to integrate a turntable directly.

Power and signal communication are handled through the dedicated LE-LINK connection, reducing cable clutter and eliminating the need for a separate external power supply for the extension module.

The compact enclosure follows the same industrial design language as the rest of the Harmony range, allowing the module to sit naturally alongside the HP2A without dominating the system visually.
