HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled Open-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones – Price & Specifications
The HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled brings HIFIMAN’s latest open-driver philosophy to the ANANDA family, combining planar magnetic technology with the company’s Unveiled acoustic architecture.
Designed for listeners who value soundstage width, imaging precision, speed and transparency, the ANANDA Unveiled removes the traditional rear grille structure found on conventional open-back headphones in order to reduce unwanted acoustic reflections around the diaphragm.

Unveiled Acoustic Technology
The defining feature of the HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled is its open-driver Unveiled architecture.
Traditional headphone grilles can reflect and refract sound waves back toward the diaphragm. These reflections can interfere with the movement of the driver and influence the final sound.
By removing the conventional rear grille structure, HIFIMAN aims to allow the diaphragm to operate with fewer acoustic obstructions, helping improve transparency and preserve fine musical information.
Planar Magnetic Driver Performance
The ANANDA Unveiled uses a large planar magnetic driver designed for fast response and precise diaphragm control.
Planar magnetic technology distributes the driving force over a large portion of the diaphragm surface rather than concentrating it in a conventional voice coil.
This architecture helps reduce distortion while delivering fast transients, strong separation and excellent low-level detail retrieval.

Maximum Openness and Soundstage
The exceptionally open architecture allows the planar drivers to operate with minimal acoustic restriction.
This contributes to a broad and spacious presentation with strong image separation and a convincing sense of depth.
The ANANDA Unveiled is especially attractive for classical music, acoustic recordings, jazz, live performances and complex productions where spatial information and fine detail are important.

Clear, Airy and Highly Resolving Presentation
The ANANDA Unveiled is designed around transparency and openness rather than an enclosed or heavily damped presentation.
Its sound character places particular emphasis on spatial information, transient clarity and upper-frequency air while preserving the speed and control expected from a modern planar magnetic design.
This makes it a strong choice for listeners who enjoy hearing recording ambience, reverberation and subtle positional information within the mix.
22Ω Impedance and 93dB Sensitivity
The ANANDA Unveiled has a nominal impedance of 22Ω and a sensitivity of 93dB.
Its relatively low impedance allows it to work with many modern DAC/headphone amplifiers, although planar magnetic drivers generally benefit from electronics capable of supplying good current.
A quality dedicated headphone amplifier can improve bass authority, dynamic contrast and overall control.
Comfort and Large Asymmetric Earcups
The large asymmetric earcups follow the natural shape of the ear and provide generous internal space around the driver.
A suspension-style headband distributes the weight over a broad area, while the large pads help maintain comfort during extended listening sessions.
The headphone weighs approximately 449g, excluding the Magnetic Veils and headphone cable.

Magnetic Veils for Driver Protection
Because the Unveiled design exposes the rear side of the planar driver more directly than a conventional headphone, HIFIMAN includes a pair of Magnetic Veils.
These protective covers are intended to be fitted when the headphone is stored or transported, helping protect the exposed driver structure.
For normal listening, the headphone is designed to be used with the Unveiled architecture fully open.
Detachable Cable Design
The ANANDA Unveiled includes a 1.5m cable with a 3.5mm plug together with a 3.5mm-to-6.35mm adapter.
This makes it straightforward to connect the headphone to portable sources, desktop DAC/headphone amplifiers and full-size headphone amplifiers.

ANANDA Unveiled vs ANANDA Stealth
The ANANDA Unveiled represents a fundamentally different acoustic approach from the traditional ANANDA Stealth.
While both use open-back planar magnetic architecture, the Unveiled version removes the conventional rear grille in order to reduce reflections and refractions around the diaphragm.
The result is a headphone focused even more strongly on openness, spatial information and transparency.
Listeners who prefer a more conventional protected driver structure may still favour the ANANDA Stealth, while the ANANDA Unveiled is aimed at those who prioritise maximum acoustic openness and imaging performance.
Who Is the HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled For?
The ANANDA Unveiled is designed for listeners who prioritise soundstage width, precise imaging, transient speed and high-frequency openness.
It is particularly well suited to dedicated home and desktop listening systems where the headphone can be used in a quiet environment and driven by a capable DAC/headphone amplifier.
Its exposed Unveiled architecture also makes it a more specialised design than a conventional everyday headphone, rewarding careful handling and storage.
HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled FAQ
What is the impedance of the HiFiMAN ANANDA Unveiled?
The official impedance is 22Ω.
What is the sensitivity?
The ANANDA Unveiled has a specified sensitivity of 93dB.
What is the frequency response?
The official frequency response is 5Hz – 55kHz.
