Description

Apollon in Greek Mythology was the God of music. A fitting name for this amplifier as it has excellent sound. It carries almost 20 years of development, as it is the descendant of the very first amplifier our company put to trade. Then it was named Powerhouse but now it is Apollon, the God of music.

It incorporates 4 power tubes per channel which form a dual push pull. They are biased in class AB1 class of operation. Powerful enough to drive difficult loads and give you a unique sonic experience.

Why Plus?

Apollon implements a dual push-pull configuration for each channel allowing it to draw large amounts of power from the power tubes. So Apollon can drive easily power hungry loudspeakers. Gold plated RCA and XLR connectors are implemented for the signal input and high quality binding posts for the loudspeakers. The XLR balanced input is pseudo balanced. True balanced XLR input can be provided upon request.
Carefully selected values and types of the electronic components contribute to the reliable circuits operation and the high sound quality of the amplifier.
The meticulous PCB design ensures excellent behavior in SNR and distortion.
Inner signal wiring with high quality shielded signal cable. Power wiring uses high quality copper cables of more-than-needed AWG gauge, to achieve low impedance power transfer. All power cables are twisted in pairs to minimize the electromagnetic interference.

The handmade multilayer output transformers allow the amplifier to reveal the sound stage and all the music details through the entire audio spectrum.
Made by us and tested thoroughly for quality and reliability.
The same applies to the power transformer. The positioning of the transformers is such that minimizes the magnetic coupling between power and output transformers.

Why Ultra?

Apollon Ultra implements a dual push-pull configuration for each channel allowing it to draw large amounts of power from the power tubes. So Apollon can drive easily power hungry loudspeakers. Gold plated RCA and XLR connectors are implemented for the signal input and WBT-0703 Next Gen binding posts for the loudspeakers. The XLR balanced input is pseudo balanced. True balanced XLR input can be provided upon request.
