At the heart of the Pink Faun USB bridge v2 lies the AS-media ASM3142 chipset, backed by redesigned clock circuitry, updated firmware, and an enhanced power supply section. As is well known, Pink Faun sets exceptionally high standards for power supply design. The improved power supply circuitry on the USB bridge v2 is meticulously designed around the low dropout LT1963A regulators (with a mere 40µVRMS noise level across the 10Hz to 100kHz range). In addition to its swift transient response, the LT1963A regulators boast minimal output noise, making them the ideal choice for sensitive RF supply applications.

Powering the USB bridge v2 can be accomplished through either a 5V supply via the LP-4 Molex connector or an external 5V power source, with the external DC input featuring a 5.5/2.5mm barrel center positive configuration. When an external power supply is connected, the USB bridge v2 automatically switches to it, cutting off power from the LP-4 Molex connector.
