The HP2A works both as a headphone amplifier and integrated preamplifier. It has Dual 1.5-inch (diagonal) white monochrome OLED display with 128×128-pixel resolution at 16-bit grayscale each giving it a very modern but still minimalist look while offering very useful info.

MOSFETs Done Right

The headphone amplifier section is where things get really interesting. LAiV chose to implement four high-bandwidth EXICON MOSFETs per channel – these aren’t your typical off-the-shelf components. They’re specifically selected for their exceptional linearity and fast response characteristics. What this means for your listening sessions: precise transients, natural dynamics, and the kind of bass control that makes planar magnetic headphones sing.
