Much of Phasemation’s know-how has been poured into the EA-1500. In particular, many of the technologies cultivated in the EA-2000, such as the LCR circuit, the shielding and floating structure of the transformer, have been inherited, and the results are reflected in the final sound.
High-speed, wide dynamic range vacuum tube phono amplifier section without NFB
Vacuum tube amplifiers operate at high voltages, which gives them a wide dynamic range, and because they do not use NFB circuits, they achieve a faster sound.
Transformer for cartridges using PC-TripleC with newly revised windings
The EA-1500 employs a new transformer that is based on the EA-1200 transformer, but with redesigned windings and other features to accommodate playback of any cartridge. The windings use the renowned PC-Triple C.
Optical cartridge compatible
Not only is it well-suited for Phasemation cartridges, but it is also the first to support the recent trend of optical cartridges. A dedicated power transformer is provided for optical cartridges, providing a stable power supply that does not interfere with phono amplifiers. The XLR terminal for optical cartridge input is also provided, but this is not a separate power supply; it is designed to allow the unbalanced output of an optical cartridge to be connected using a conventional balanced MC analog cable.
A separate clean power supply unit with a vacuum tube rectifier circuit for high sound quality
The power supply section of the EA-1500 is the same full-size single box as the phono amplifier section, but inside the power supply there are two independent power transformers for L/R, with each channel having its own dedicated power supply.By using a 5U4GB vacuum tube in the rectifier circuit, a clean power supply that does not generate switching noise like semiconductors contributes to high sound quality.
Supports balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs
It has two inputs and one output, both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA pin). The XLR terminals are made by Neutrik, and the RCA pin terminals are gold-plated, ensuring high-quality sound. Simultaneous balanced and unbalanced output is also possible.
Top cover structure and foot and other mechanical parts carefully selected for sound tuning
The 1.6mm thick top cover and hybrid insulator made of a combination of different metals suppress vibrations and reproduce pure sound. The top cover is coated with a low dielectric constant paint to reduce the effects of magnetic distortion.

Gold-plated high-quality components are used for connectors and relays to improve sound performance.
