LampizatOr Poseidon DAC
27.600,00 €
This DAC came to life thanks to Lampizators R&D project based on engine 11 which was pushed to the absolute limit. The result? A DAC which is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship that will deliver top of the game sound for many years to come. It simply hits the sweet spot on the bang for the buck high end scale. With features like customizable aesthetics, an OLED screen, a variety of tube options, and innovative impedance levels, the Poseidon is designed to meet the needs of audiophiles seeking true top-tier performance. Its robust build includes a proprietary firmware-driven conversion process, silver wiring, and a CNC milled chassis, ensuring both superior audio fidelity and aesthetic appeal.
Description
LampizatOr Poseidon DAC
This DAC is a result of new R&D project based on engine 11 which was pushed to the absolute limit of good sound – the variant Eleven-P. The goal was to come as close as possible to the Horizon but within the limitations of a workable budget.
A More Affordable Horizon
We rode the waves of success with our iconic “Horizon DAC”, which raised the bar higher than we ever thought possible for digital sound. But then, we faced a challenge. With all we have learned and discovered in creating the Horizon, the gap between our flagship and the rest of the line was too large. As a direct consequence of the international success of Horizon, we decided to trickle down some of the solutions and most of the sound character (or its lack) to the more affordable products. At the same time we noticed that the middle of our portfolio is crowded and there is too many DACs cannibalizing each other.
Of course our statement piece should stand above and beyond the rest of our line, however, with all we have learned, and my own personal philosophy of wanting to bring audio pleasure to all, even those not operating in the highest of budgets, we have decided to trickle down much of what we have learned to create The Poseidon DAC, inspired by the Greek God of the Sea, bringing you closer to the horizon of audio pleasure, with Introductory Pricing at half the price of the Horizon DAC.
This DAC will share substantial DNA with the Horizon, in terms of sound quality, aesthetics, build quality and the ability to bring musical joy to even the most hardcore of analog fans. It aims to not only compete with, but better, any DAC at any price, outside of our own product line, at a cost accessible to a wide audience.
All this middle of price segment is now served by one new DAC that will be our new weapon in this upper quality echelon. Again – based on the revolutionary ELEVEN-P engine.
Enter: THE POSEIDON DAC
Within our Lampizator team we had set a new challenge: to create an entirely new DAC not based on any model from the past but with exactly half the Horizon budget: half for the housing, half for the transformers, half for the electronics, half for the tubes.
The POSEIDON features the precision of the 6N1P (Soviet Army) input and I/V conversion stage. Packed with 12 triodes, including the trusted 5U4G rectifier, 4 double triodes, and 4 single triodes. A robust amplification stage to ensure crystal-clear audio output.
Why Poseidon?
